Hi, my name is Suzanne Schreyer. I'm the tech teacher at Knapp Elem.
Kinder, 1st and 2nd grades see me as part of the specials rotation. I see them 5 days in a row, and then they rotate to the next specials class (gym, music, and then art).
Grades 3, 4, and 5 come to the lab once a week.
This year I'd like to use Wikispaces to display student work. Instead of me posting work, I'd like the students to learn to post their own work.
Sept. 29th:
I have been struggling to use a word wall with my classes- partly because I don't have a wall to use.So I started to consider an "electronic" word wall. After goggling online word walls, I came across word walls using wikis.
http://wikisineducationeett.wikispaces.com/Word+Walls
http://wikifiedwordwalls.wikispaces.com/createwikiwordwall -this wiki also shows how to use other web 2.0 tools (like wordle) to create the word wall and then post it on the wiki.
http://leswordwall.wikispaces.com/ -it doesn't look like there's much until you scroll down and look in the left navigation column with the teachers' names.
I'll keep you up to date as I implement this with my kiddos.
